Welcome to the Leeds Central Soul Club Website
Here you will be able to see what is happening and when,
at one of the oldest Northern Soul events in the UK.
"Every DJ who is lucky enough to be asked to play at this club plays dynamite records one after the other, creating an atmosphere that is reflected in the total enthusiasm of the dancers and it bounces back and forth from the dancers to the DJ's back to the dancers , back to the DJ's, back to the dancers like invisible bolts of lightning just building up and up and up and up!! Its like a secret passage taking us all back in time to when we were young. I don't think any of us know that we are 50, 60 or older when we are in that supreme atmosphere. We are all 18, 19, or 20 and just feeling it and going for it big style! I want to say a special thank you to Steve Luigi For re-opening this legendary club and creating a secret door that opens to excitement great memories and great thrills for those who go. As soon as you walk through the doors at the top of the stairs the music and atmosphere hits you, full on straight in the face and as you walk down those stairs your age and worries all just fade away and when you walk in straight on to the dance floor, my God you sure know you have come to the right place! As always it was just great to see all my old pals. It's just f***** brilliant! You got to be there!"

I always find Cellar venues have that extra added atmosphere, the music is supplimentary..visiting this establishment for the first time didn't disprove the theory...it simply confirmed it. Undiluted cameraderie from the throng..the universal love of a good time, coordinated with the music, proved to be a winner. Done the 100 club, the Nautical William, the Bear Inn....and more recently, The Beehive...they have all, at one time or another, shared that same exclusivity and originality...i guess, in the case of this bastion of Leeds Northern Soul culture, and to borrow an American Phrase: Turn the Hifi High and the lights down low...because this is the place you just gotta go-go!
